About the Recipe

This version of coffee is creamy and sweet; however, it will not spike blood sugar like your typical cup of coffee made with traditional coffee creamers loaded with sugar, preservatives and chemicals.

Nut Pods Original Unsweetened Creamer is a great non-dairy substitute, made from protein-rich almonds and coconuts, and completely free of soy, corn syrup, gluten, refined sugars, and carrageenan.

Truvia is Non-GMO Gluten-free, sugar-free, kosher, and suitable for people with diabetes and those seeking to get off sugar. Combine all these ingredients together for the perfect cup of "so delicious!"

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Nut Pod almond coconut creamer or organic half n half

  • a dash of cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract


  • 12 oz. coffee

  • 2-4 packets of Truvia sweetener or monk fruit

Preparation

Instructions for hot coffee:

Add coconut creamer or half n half, sweetener, cinnamon and vanilla to a mug and microwave for 20-30 seconds.  Remove the mug from the microwave and use a milk frothier to froth the cream for 10-15 seconds (until the cream is bubbly and the volume has increased).  Add hot coffee and enjoy!



Instructions for iced coffee:

Add coconut creamer or half n half, sweetener, cinnamon and vanilla to a mug and use a milk frothier to froth the mixture for 10-15 seconds (or until the cream is bubbly and the volume has increased).  Add to cold coffee with a few ice cubes and enjoy!
